You can make it happen with ClassTag! ClassTag is a simple parent-teacher communication tool that works for everyone. You can reach parents simply and easily. Because every parent is different, ClassTag offers automatic translations into +50 languages and automatic conversion to email and SMS. You'll be able to achieve your goals in no time. Plus, ClassTag is available on all devices.
We’ve created a checklist for you to help you get started "As a Teacher" on ClassTag.
SIGN-UP AND CREATE YOUR CLASS
Signing up for ClassTag and creating your first class is very easy. Please follow these steps:
1. Go to ClassTag’s website and click the “Get Started” button on the upper right side or in the middle of the home page.
2. Choose "As a Teacher" from the list.
3. Fill out the next page with your details (First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Password) and click the "Sign Up" button.
4. As an overview of what you can do on ClassTag, the next page will give you what we call the "playground". You'll see how to send a smart message, create an announcement, or share a moment with your parents. Please click on the arrow and see how it looks.
5. You'll see progress on the upper part of the page.
6. When you're done, click the "Let’s go" button.
7. Enter your class's name, and choose the grade level and your timezone. Finally, click the “Create Classroom” button.
That’s it! You’ve created your account and added your first class on ClassTag. Don’t forget to click on the link in the email verification that we’ve sent to confirm your email.
Now, let’s start adding your students’ names and parents’ information.
ADD STUDENTS’ NAMES AND PARENTS’ INFORMATION
These steps show you how to add your students' and their parents’ info on ClassTag. As a teacher, you can invite parents to join your class on ClassTag using either their email address or mobile number. After you add the students’ names and parents’ email addresses or mobile numbers, the system is going to send an email or SMS to the parents.
I don’t have the parents’ information yet. Is this really needed? → Not necessarily! You can still invite the parents to sign up on ClassTag even if you don’t have their info with you. You can send them the flyers with the code that they can use to join ClassTag.

COMMUNICATING WITH PARENTS
There are tons of things that you can do on ClassTag to communicate with parents.
You can send direct messages to one or multiple parents, send class or school-wide Announcements, create Events, automate Weekly Newsletters, set up Parent-Teacher Conferences, add Volunteer Requests, and upload videos, photos, and documents to share with parents. ClassTag also sends out follow-ups and reminders so you do not have to.

SUPPLY LIST
When the first day of school arrives, you want your students to be ready with the essentials for the school year ahead. ClassTag Supply Lists help you in securing these items. It allows you to create and share a custom and printable supply list with parents, co-teachers, and school leaders. Parents even have the option to purchase items online with a purchasing link direct to Wal-Mart or Amazon.
Go ahead and create one! You can customize it and share it with parents on ClassTag, social media, via email, or simply print it out to distribute.
