When a student leaves the school or is no longer active, ClassTag recommends marking the Student Profile as Inactive. This will disable all notifications to be sent out to the child’s parents.
Please note that notifications won't be sent out if the parent has only one child who attended the school. If a parent has multiple children, and at least one is still active and attending the school, she will still receive School-Wide Announcement notifications.
To mark a student inactive, please follow these steps:
1. On the School page, click the Directory.
2. Search for the student.
3. Click the student's name.
4. Click Edit.
5. Remove the check from the Active Student checkbox and click Save.
That's it! 🙌
The student profile is now archived. You can use the Directory's filter to view the profile when needed but, by default, inactive students will be hidden and their connected families will not receive Announcements and other Classtag communications.
