As a parent, you will be invited by the teacher to join a class using one of three ways:
Signing up using the Email Invitation
1. Click “Join Now” from the email invitation.
2. Fill out the signup form.
Please note that this is for you, the parent, and not the child. Enter your first and last name and create a password. The email address will be automatically filled in with the address the invitation was sent to. Changing it to a different email address will still let you join the class and update what the teacher has entered.
3. Click “Join Class.”
4. An email verification will be sent. Please check your email and click “Confirm my Account” to verify your email address.
You’re all set! You can now access the classroom and all of its content. You will receive another email similar to the one below welcoming you to the classroom.
Signing up using the SMS Invitation
1. Click the link from the SMS invitation.
2. Fill out the signup form.
Please note that the email will be blank if you are invited using a phone number only. You can enter an email address if you prefer but you can proceed without it. You will then need to log in using your mobile phone number and will receive notifications via SMS.
3. Click “Join Class.”
4. Enter the Verification Code that you will receive via SMS and click Verify.
You’re all set! You can now access the classroom and all of its content.
Signing up using the Printed Flyer
The teacher may send home a printer flyer with your child and/or distribute them at an in-person Parent-Teacher Conference. Below is a sample of the flyer with a code unique for your child’s class.
Using the flyer, please follow these instructions to join your child's class.
1. Go to https://www.classtag.com/activate.
2. Enter the code from the flyer and click “Continue”.
3. Enter your email address or mobile number and click “Continue”.
4. Create your password and click “Login.”
You’re all set! You can now access the classroom and all of its content.
NOTE: If you have multiple children in one school and they all use ClassTag, you will only need to go through this process once. Once you have signed up successfully, all invitations from other classrooms will automatically be accepted. You can then browse through multiple classrooms by clicking the three lines on the upper-left side. See sample below.
