ClassTag Connect offers Single Sign-On (SSO) rostering integration with ClassLink or Clever. Alternatively, set up data with SFTP or use our manual process in the product.

ClassTag Sync is only available to ClassTag Connect customers. Please contact our Support Team at if you are interested in upgrading your ClassTag Account.

1. Add the ClassTag Connect app on Clever.

2. Adjust the sharing rules on Clever.

You have full control over the information you share with ClassTag; Schools, Classrooms, Students, and Contacts. Please follow the steps in this article if you need more information about how to adjust the Clever sharing rules.

3. Match ClassTag Schools with Clever Schools.

You can add external sources to existing schools on ClassTag to match them with the schools on Clever. Please click here to know more about how to add external sources to existing ClassTag Schools.

4. Update or sync existing ClassTag classrooms.

Similar to matching ClassTag Schools with Clever, you can also sync existing Classrooms with Clever Sections. Please click here to see other options or how to sync the Classrooms.

5. Modify sync settings.

You can adjust the sync settings to share targeted data from Clever; student IDs, relationships, contact information, etc. Please click here to see more information.

6. Self-check.

Please review everything again and make sure everything is set up as you want it to. Open this article to know more about what else you have to check and consider before enabling the sync.

7. Enable and launch the sync.

Enable the sync and save settings when you’re ready. Please click here to see how.

8. Check the sync results.

After the sync is complete, please check the sync reports or verify that staff, students, classrooms, and parents/guardians are added to the District and School Directories and Classroom pages.

9. Merge Duplicated Students.

If you chose not to archive all students before the sync, there will most likely be duplicates. To merge them, please follow the steps in this article.
