ClassTag provides an option to set up an event without a date/start and date/end time. To do this, please tick the box before “All day” right below the “Location”.

After you tick the box, it will ask you to specify the start and end date of the event. Please make sure this is properly filled out with the correct dates.

If you’re creating an event with a start date/time only, this isn’t currently possible on ClassTag. We know that parents have a busy schedule, and they would most likely want to know when the event will happen and how long it will take. This is the reason why the system requires an event with a start date/time and an end date/time.

We understand that there might be some instances when you don’t know the end time of the event. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to create an event without specifying a start or an end time. As a workaround, here’s what you can do:

  1. Add a start or an end time that is close to when you’re expecting the event to start or end.
  2. Add a message in the “Details” section to let the parents know that the time you set is a tentative one.
  3. Start a conversation with the parents by clicking on the messaging icon on the upper right side and send them an update about the event.

We know this isn’t an ideal solution and we hope that setting up an event with a start time but no end time occurs less frequent in your school.
