ClassTag provides an option to set up an event without a date/start and date/end time. To do this, please check the box before “All day” right below the “Location”.
After you check the box, it will ask you to specify the start and end date of the event. Please make sure this is properly filled out with the correct dates.
If you are creating an event with a start date/time only, this is not currently possible on ClassTag. We know that parents have busy schedules, and they would most likely want to know when the event will happen and how long it will take. This is the reason why the system requires an event with a start date/time and an end date/time.
We understand that there might be some instances when you do not know the end time of the event. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to create an event without specifying a start or an end time. As a workaround, here is what you can do:
- Add a start or an end time that is close to when you are expecting the event to start or end.
- Add a message in the “Details” section to let the parents know that the time you set is a tentative one.
- Start a conversation with the parents by clicking on the messaging icon on the upper right side and send them an update about the event.
We know this is not an ideal solution and we hope that setting up an event with a start time but no end time occurs less frequently in your school.
