Communications in SchoolStatus Connect are based on the users' preferences. We believe that this is the best way to reach parents and keep everyone happy. 😊
Once users create an account in SchoolStatus Connect, they will be able to add contact information and select the preferred Notification Method.
To do this, users can click on the Dropdown on the upper right side, click Gear icon to open Settings, then Communication Preferences, and then click the drop-down menu below the Notification method. Users have the option to set it to Email + App, SMS + App, App Only, or None.
A couple of notes:
SMS is currently enabled for cell phone numbers in the US and Canada.
To avoid sending and/or receiving too many notifications, users can only select either Email or SMS and not both.
